Title: The wines of the UWCS are also doing well in the U.K.
The UWC Samos is doing quite well in one of the most challenging markets for Greek wine, the market of the U.K. While the quantities that are exported are still not large, the listings of the wines of Samos in selected esteemed spots is considered a success which has been realized by not only the steady and unquestionable quality of the wines but also the efforts of the Union’s importer in the UK, Eclectic Wines. More specifically, one can find the Samos Vin Doux by the glass in the East India Club St. James Square in London. It has been listed in the restaurants of Rick Stein, one of the top chefs in England. It is also available by the glass at the two Vinotecas Wine Bars in London and you can find it in many smaller cellars. It is worth noting that it is available by Adnams Plc. Samos Grand Cru can be found at Dinner, the new restaurant of the great chef Heston Blumenthal at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. It has also been listed at the restaurant Yauatcha. Samos Nectar is found in several places and Samos Anthemis in selected Waitrose locations as well as at the Wine Society which has been carrying it for many years. Finally, all the sweet wines have been listed at the restaurant of MW Gerald Basse at the hotel Terravina. England is a country where Greek wine is still being tested and is not easily listed in wine lists. This fact alone makes the success of the Samos wines even more important.
